विशेष • (ऐस्बेस्टस) अर्थात् अदह कई प्रकार के खनिज सिलीकेटों के समूह को, जो रेशेदार तथा अदह्य होते हैं, कहते हैं। इसके रेशे चमकदार होते हैं। इकट्ठा रहने पर उनका रंग सफ़ेद, हरा, भूरा या नीला दिखाई पड़ता है, परंतु प्रत्येक अलग रेशे का रंग चमकीला सफ़ेद ही होता है।
