فارس کی ایک قوم جس کا ذکر قرآن پاک (سورۂ فرقان ، آیت ۳۸) میں آیا ہے. (کہا جاتا ہے کہ یہ لوگ درخت صنوبر کی پرستش کرتے تھے اور رس نامی نہر کے کنارے انکے بارہ شہر آباد تھے جن کے نام فارسی مہینوں کے ناموں پر تھے. ہر مہینے میں اسی مہینے کے نام کے شہر میں جمع ہوکر درخت صنوبر پر قربانی چڑھاتے تھے).
