विशेष • कहा जाता है कि मुसलमानों के पैग़म्बर मोहम्मद साहब मेराज अर्थात ईश्वर के अतिथी बन कर उनसे मिलने गए तो उनको ईश्वर ने दिन-रात 24 घंटे में बहुत सारी नमाज़ भेंट की, मुहम्मद साहब नमाज़ों की संख्या कम कराने के उद्देश्य से उनके पास दोबारा गए। ईश्वर ने नमाज़ों की संख्या तो कम कर दी परंतु साथ ही रोज़ा (एक माह का उपवास, व्रत) रखने का नियम कर दिया इसी बात को केंद्र में रख कर यह कहावत बनाई गई है

- جب کوئی کام فائدہ کے لیے کیا جائے اور اس میں نقصان ہو جائے تو کہتے ہیں
