- روشنی ماند کر دینا ، تاریک کر دینا ؛ (مجازاً) بدنما بنانا ، بدصورت کر دینا.
- (مجازاً) شہرت یا ناموری کو ماند کر دینا.
- ماند پڑ جانا ، تاریک ہو جانا.
- (مجازاً) زوال پذیر ہونا.
- انسان یا جانور کے کسی عضو کا پیدائشی طور پر ٹیڑھا یا ناقص ہونا (کہا جاتا ہے کہ ایّامِ حمل یا بچّے کی پیدائش کے وقت زچہ پر گہن کا اثر پڑنے سے ایسا ہو جاتا ہے).
