(طب) ایک جڑ ہے جس کے درخت کے پتے کندنے کے پتوں کی طرح ہوتے ہیں اور جڑ میں باریک ریشے ہوتے ہیں جو باہم لپٹے ہوئے ہوتے ہیں اور لپٹے ہونے کی وجہ سے چھوٹی سی گیند کی طرح ہو جاتی ہے ، ضخامت اس کی اخروٹ سے لیکر نارنگی تک ہوتی ہے ، دوسرے درجے میں گرم و خشک ہے جِلا کرتی ہے دھو کر آنکھ کے جالے اور ناخنے پر لگاتے ہیں دانتون پر ملتے ہیں مسوڑوں طاقت دیتی ہے اس کو سُکھا کر پیس کر خراب قسم کے زخموں پر چھڑ کنے سے نفع ہوتا ہے.
