माट का माट ही बिगड़ा है के हिंदी अर्थ
- सबके सब एक जैसे ख़राब हैं, घर या समाज के लोगों के लिए कहते हैं

सब के सब ख़राब हैं अर्थात आवे का आवा बिगड़ा हुआ है
विशेष • माट मिट्टी के उस बर्तन को कहते हैं, जिसमें रंगरेज़ रंग तैयार करते हैं, रासायनिक रंगों के आविष्कार के पहले नील, आल या टेसू के फूलों अथवा टहनियों आदि को मिट्टी के बर्तन में डाल कर सड़ाते थे, अगर उनके सड़ने अर्थात ख़मीर उठने में कोई त्रुटि हो जाती थी, तो रंग नहीं उतरता था, इसे ही 'माट बिगड़ना' कहते थे, जो अब एक मुहावरा बन गया है अर्थात कुल का कुल काम बिगड़ जाना।
