- ۱۔ (ہیئت) وہ برج جس کی رفتار طالع میں آپڑے تو منحوس خیال کی جاتی ہے (حمل ، سرطان ، جدی اور میزان) ۔
- ۲۔ (طبیعیات) وہ آلہ (تانبے کا ایک پرزہ) جس کے ذریعہ برقی دور کسی مخصوص حصہ میں (عموماً رو پیما میں) دور کی تکمیل کرنے والے تاروں کو کھولے بغیر رو کی سمت اُلٹ دی جاتی ہے (Commutator) ۔
