- जो व्यक्ति बेईमानी करे हर क़दम पर धोखा देता है अर्थात तौले तो कम तौलता है खोटा सौदा करता है रोकन को पासंग बताता है

झूठे बाँट रखने वाला दूकानदार तीन जगह से नुक़सान उठाता है अर्थात उसे अधिक तौलना पड़ता है रोकन देना पड़ता है और अपनी तराज़ू दिखानी पड़ती है कि वह ठीक है या नहीं
विशेष • तराज़ू की दंडी को बराबर करने के लिए उठे हुए पलड़े पर रखा हुआ बोझ पासंग कहलाता है। पासंग होना (मु.), तराजू की डंडी बराबर न होना। कहावत का अभिप्राय यह है कि जो दूकानदार तराज़ू में पासंग रखता है, उसे पकड़े जाने के भय से कभी-कभी अधिक तोलना पड़ता है।
