- ایک روئیدگی ہے، یہ دو لفظوں سے مرکب ہے سراج یعنی چراغ اور قطرب ایک کیڑا جو اندھیری رات میں آگ کے شعلے کی طرح چمکتا ہے، سراج القطرب پہاڑی خیری کا نام ہے جس کا پھول آسمانی، اور سرخ گلاب کی طرح بھی ہوتا ہے، جڑ گول اخروٹ کی طرح ہوتی ہے قابض ہے، آنتوں کا خون بند کرتا ہے، اس کا کچّھ روغن گل میں گھون٘ٹ کر عورت کے شکم پر ملیں تو بچّے کی حفاظت ہو گی، مرگی کے لیے عود فاوانیا سے بڑھکر ہے
