- उस समय कहते हैं जब देखने में तो कोई काम पुण्य के लिए किया जाए परंतु अंदर से उस में अति भोग की भावना होती हो

मज़ारों पर बहुत से व्यक्ति खाने-पीने के लालच में जाते हैं, कुछ मिलने की आशा से ही लोग बड़े आदमियों अर्थात धनवानों के पास जाते हैं
विशेष • शाह मदार मुसलमानों के एक बड़े पीर हुए हैं, जिनकी मृत्यु 1432 में हुई, मकनपुर में उनकी दरगाह है। प्रति वर्ष वहाँ मेला लगता है और प्रसाद में गुलगुले बँटते हैं। उसी से कहावत है कि मदार साहब के दर्शन के लिए तो लोग कम और गुलगुलों की लालच से अधिक जाते हैं।
